Year of construction: 2012

Project group: Nika van BERKEL, Matej DELAK, Gašper MEDVEŠEK, Neža NOVAK, Jerica POLONČIČ, Petar VIDANOSKI, Uroš RAZPET

The architecture of the footbridge never exists by itself, but always acts as a connecting element.
By spanning across the river, it connects both banks, creating a new path. It becomes a connecting link between its rich history and tradition and the present moment.

The construction of the footbridge is distinctly narrow, creating a neutral appearance in space. The rail of the footbridge is shaped as a wind instrument. On the surface of the rail and the monolith stone at the bank, there is a sculptural relief of Prešeren’s merman.
